The company was founded by two car enthusiasts with the ambition of revolutionising car servicing in Africa.
Partnership with Bosch, world leader in automotive equipment and technologies.
This partnership enables us to benefit from their expertise and network, as well as their Carfics platform, which offers fuel monitoring and optimised vehicle maintenance.
Partnership with Shell, one of the world’s leading suppliers of fuels and lubricants.
This partnership enables us to guarantee our customers optimum fuel quality and reduced pollutant emissions.
Partnership with Yara Oil, a pioneer in the production and distribution of vegetable oils for cars.
This partnership enables us to offer our customers an ecological and economical alternative to traditional fuel.
The MeetAfrica prize
In 2022, Otomotive was awarded the MeetAfrica prize, which recognises innovative companies committed to the development of the African continent. The prize is awarded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Expertise France and the European Union. Thanks to this prize, Otomotive has benefited from financial and technical support to develop its business in Africa.
Withdrawal from Mali
In 2023 Otomotive took the painful but strategic decision to withdraw from Mali, where it had opened a garage in 2019. This decision was motivated by the economic difficulties caused by the socio-political situation in Mali. Otomotive preferred to focus on other more stable and promising markets.
Back in force
In 2024, Otomotive made a comeback on the African continent with two projects in Morocco and Mali. In Morocco, Otomotive opened a new garage in Casablanca, offering repair and maintenance services for private and commercial vehicles. In Mali, Otomotive has re-established ties with its former local partner, which has taken over the garage that closed in 2022. We also have our sights firmly set on the Ivorian market.
